PDF Password Remover

A PDF password remover that takes a protected PDF and the password that opens it, and gives you back an unlocked copy that opens without a prompt. The content is preserved exactly, with no loss of text or quality.

The unlock is lossless. Unlike redaction or some compression tools, this does not rebuild or rasterize the document; all text, images, fonts and vector graphics are kept precisely as they were, and the result stays fully searchable and selectable.

It runs entirely in your browser using QPDF compiled to WebAssembly, so the document and its password never leave your device. For a password-protected file, that privacy is the whole point: you would not want to hand a confidential PDF and its password to an unknown server.

The typical use is convenience. You have a bank statement, payslip or report you are entitled to open, but typing the password every single time is tedious, so you make one unlocked copy for your own records.

To be clear about what it does not do: it cannot crack, guess or bypass a password you do not have. You must supply the correct password that opens the file. Given that, it can also clear owner or permission restrictions, such as limits on printing or copying.

Once unlocked, you download the copy directly. Nothing is uploaded, stored or logged, so the only unlocked version that exists is the one saved to your device.
